- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★The best way to describe Big Jim's is it's your grill in the country store on steroids! Whereas most grills offer a handful of menu items for breakfast and a few more for lunch, usually consisting of biscuits, burgers, and hot dogs, Big Jim's offers a huge selection of down home meals in addition to the usual fare. You can get burgers and fries, but you can also have everything from fish to ribs, pork chops, stew, bologna, and even chitterlings. Bacon, ham, and several different sausages are also on the menu. Side items include potato salad, cabbage, peas, beans, whatever you would expect to be on your grandmother's table for Sunday dinner in addition to fast food type foods like chili cheese fries. More than a few desert options of cakes, pies, cobblers, and puddings. Service is fast and friendly, food is hot, but it's greasy comfort food. Don't look for vegan options as even the veggies are seasoned with pork.
